Journalist swallows his own blogpost

November 19th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in World News

Kiwi journalist and blogger, Colin Espiner stuck to his comment he made in his blog. Shortly after the New Zealand general election, he blogged on stuff.co.nz that no way Maori Party would form coalition with the National. And said if he was proved wrong, he will print out this blog of his and eat it, live on a webcam.
Yah-goo-.com --- NZ Blogger eating his blogpost!Maori party and National have not formed a coalition, but have entered a confidence and supply agreement. Colin Espiner still says there is a difference. But, he said he didn’t want to be like the politicians to try and escape by twisting things and to much of a suprise he kept his word by swallowing his blog.
Despite of diverse suggestions from his blog readers - mixing it with pork bones, watercress and putting it in a humble pie, he instead added youghurt, milk and banana and blended ‘Coalition Smoothie’ and drank in front of the camera deciding to man up like someone told him to do in his blog.
He said, it actually didn’t taste too bad except for the ink, and acknowledged of speaking too soon in his posting.
